As the power situation has become challenging especially due to the recent drought in Zambia. On the 18th of September 2024, KATC received a shot in the arm in the form of a solar unit which was sponsored by the Canadian Jesuits International (CJI), and the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt. This timely gift is highly appreciated and welcome as KATC commits itself towards the use of sustainable energy solutions. The processing department at KATC was struggling to cope with incessant power cuts, and the solar system will be of great help in the processing of grain and dairy products in this unit.
