Food Processing
Processing of farm products is an important way to add value and to increase revenue to the farm. KATC includes therefore also these areas into it’s training. On the demonstration there are facilities for Dairy- and Grain Processing.
Grain Processing
Kasisi Organic Rolled oats is the main product of the Kasisi grain processing facility. Additionally to this for health advocates we also offer groats, which retains more health benefits. With our stone-mill we can process different cereals, like wheat, rye, barley and oats to process high quality flours. The flour type ranges from whole grain over 3 types of semolina.
Dairy Processing
In our Dairy Processing Plant, we are able to process about 300 ltr. daily. We are producing at KATC 4 different types of cheese: Feta, Haloumi, Mozarella and Fresh Cheese. Further we are manufacturing plein and flavoured yoghurts. Among the different flavours are: Vanilla, Moccha, Pineapple, Mango and Blueberry (depending on the season). Our Creme and Milk are bottled fresh and sour.

KATC has a longstanding experience in producing organic certified crops and seed. Over the years we have grown for a number of clients a wide range of different crops like barley, tef, soybean and sunflower for the local market and for export.
